Media Release - Neller Family Extends Support to Samoa & Philippines14 October, 2009In response to the recent tragedies of the earthquakes and Tsunamis in Indonesia and Samoa and the typhoons and resulting floods in Manilla in the Philippines, Neller, leading supplier of on-demand people management solutions, has made offers of financial assistance and aid directly to Neller clients and business partners in the affected regions. Neller client, AAPL/Yazaki is the largest employer in Samoa with over 1,000 Staff assembling instrumentation car parts for Toyota. When contacted by Neller's Managing Director David Page, Richard Woods, GM of Business Services at AAPL informed him that 144 lives had been lost in Samoa and eight of the Yazaki staff had lost immediate members of their family. Many more were experiencing hardship due to the effects of the Tsunami. "There has been extensive loss of life in each of these countries and from the comfort of Australia we can only guess at the hardship being experienced by so many" said Mr Page. "All our clients are part of Neller's extended family and it's times like these that supporting your family becomes second nature". Neller will provide a financial donation to assist the Yazaki staff affected by the tragedy. This money along with other aid assistance will be taken by AAPL to Samoa next week and distributed accordingly. CSL is another local outsourcing partner for Neller in the Samoan capital Apia where Neller believe all staff are OK. Neller has also been in contact with their partner in the Philippines with the same offer of assistance."These are small but important gestures for our clients and partners which I know are supported by all Neller and Neller Employer Services staff."
