HR Managed Services take Neller into new territory

Melbourne, Australia, September 11, 2009 - Neller Pty Ltd, a leading provider of people management solutions in ANZ, announces a strategic move into the provision of managed services for both payroll and HR services via a new entity: Neller Employer Services.

Neller Employer Services was borne through the acquisition of Miller Payroll Bureau Pty Ltd, the former provider of payroll services to Harvey Norman franchisees Australia wide.  Over 650 Harvey Norman franchisees operate independently franchised businesses across Australia, and the team at Neller Employer Services facilitates over 12,000 pays to their employees each week. 

David Page, Managing Director of Neller Pty Ltd, said "This was an opportunity for Neller to enter the Managed Services business with immediate scale.  The franchised Harvey Norman independent businesses are dynamic, with a very complex payroll environment.  Our success gave us the confidence and credibility to handle almost any payroll processing opportunity, and another thirty organisations have now signed up to have their payroll processed by Neller Employer Services."

Page said that this organic expansion into managed services was a natural progression for Neller, a company with over 33 years experience in delivering people management solutions. "Being able to deliver our traditional payroll and HR service using a managed services model enables us to better meet the varying needs of our growing customer base, particularly during the global financial crisis when back office costs are under even greater scrutiny."

Neller Employer Services takes a unique approach in allowing customers to select the level of service that suits their individual business needs.  "Some of our customers use Neller Employer Services purely to provide a short term cover for maternity leave," Page explained, "while others use it for a full end-to-end payroll service.  Customers can let us manage their transactional payroll process yet still offer their own management and employees on-line Web access to employee information. Our flexible approach has really resonated with our customers, and allows us to give them a tailored solution to meet their overall people management needs; that's a very powerful proposition".

Neller Employer Services is already planning to expand the range of payroll and HR related Managed Services on offer. "By 2012 the human resource outsourcing market in Australia is expected to be worth A$1.3bn. "Neller Employer Services is well positioned to take advantage of this projected growth,” stresses Page, "and has aggressive plans to build on its existing customer base both organically and via acquisition."
