A sedentary lifestyle is a leading cause of diabetes, cancer and heart disease. It increases chances of contracting 25 chronic diseases and inactivity causes 1.9 million deaths worldwide each year. Teams of 7 from participating companies each wear special GCC pedometers to track the number of steps made each day. The number of steps are added together to reach the team total.
